For mobility in the horizontal plane, you can perform a crossover step test where you walk 10 feet over to an object and return to your starting position with your arms close by your side. You will repeat this exercise 20 times alternating legs each time. If you can do this without difficulty then it would signify good mobility in the horizontal plane.

For example, walking lunges are a great mobility exercise because they work on many muscle groups at once.
